1st home game in Yankee Stadium

Yesterday at 3 pm the Yankees and Red socks walked on the new Yankee filed. With the smell of fresh paint in the air, green grass cut for the shoes of the players and over 50,000 seats ready to be filled with American baseball fans from all over. The stadium started up for the building last year with a total cost of 2.4 million. Yesterday was the opening day of the field ready for the great babe ruth and his fellow team walks to makes this their home field. The Yankees went on to defeat Ruth's former team, the Boston Red Sox, by a score of 4–1, with Ruth hitting a three-run home run into the right-field stands. Fans all around can't wait to be back in the seats to see babe hit another great game out of the new stadium.
